Meet Our Founder: Dr. Susan Stuart
Dr. Susan Stuart never set out to build an aesthetic medicine practice. As a board-certified pediatrician in Westerly, RI, she spent years caring for children, until the parents she had come to know started asking a different kind of question, not about their kids, but about Botox for themselves. What began with a few converted exam rooms grew into Wells Fountain, built on the same trust Dr. Stuart had already earned in the community.
That trust remains at the center of the practice today. Dr. Stuart brings three decades of clinical experience to Wells Fountain, including 15 years focused on weight management in both pediatric and adult populations. After completing her pediatric residency in the United States Navy, she arrived in Newport, RI, in 1997, and in 2017 expanded her practice into aesthetic medicine, allowing her to embrace a truly holistic approach to wellness. She continues to focus on pediatric health, particularly childhood obesity, while also empowering adult patients through aesthetic treatments that promote self-confidence, self-esteem, and overall vitality.
Dr. Stuart holds a Doctor of Osteopathy from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, a Master’s degree in Public Health/Epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master’s Degree in Health Professions Education, also from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Obesity Medicine, and the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics.
